How to watch TV on laptop? and 5 great reasons to do so..

Tuesday, 1. December 2009

So you want to know how to watch TV on laptop?

I found two ways that I tried out. I had too many qualms with the first method which required a PC TV device so I decided to opt for the downloadable software which I found more convenient.

The first method requires you to purchase a PC TV card plus you will need other hardware, you will also be charged an additional monthly fee so this is by no means a cheap option! It also requires more technical knowledge then the second method

The second method offers a much better deal as you only need to download the software, install it and then you can start watching right away.

You may be wondering what reasons you have to watch TV on laptop via this method. Am I correct?

There a whole load of reasons why watching TV on your computer is a great idea! The main reason is convenience. Even if you live alone, you will really appreciate being able to watch TV on your computer. If you going abroad or off to the cafe and you want to watch a bit of TV you can start watching right away (so long as there is internet connection)

Another brilliant reason to watch TV online is the quality of your channels is very high (good internet connection is a pre-requisite) this is because you are getting the signal online and therefore the quality of the picture is very good.

The best part about the downloadable software is the cost. You only pay once and never have to worry about recurring monthly fees, as you are provided with a lifetime license for a small one off fee. How great is that?

As if those three reasons weren’t great. You also have access to thousands of channels online!! You can watch local channels, foreign channels, Satellite channels. There is always a channel to suit every personality. You will never be bored!

Last but not least, downloading software to your laptop that allows instant access to Satellite channels is completely legal.

Can I watch TV on my PC? Sure you can – 3 pieces of Advice

Monday, 30. November 2009

So you may be asking yourself ‘Can I watch TV on my PC?’

Yes, you most certainly can.

I have been watching TV on my PC for years and to be honest the majority of TV that I now watch is on my PC online. This is mostly through choice but is also a very convenient option when my lounge gets crowded and the widescreen is out of bounds.

Ok so enough of my rambling, you may be wondering how I can help you answer your question ‘Can I watch TV on my PC?’

Watching TV on your PC has never been so easy. There are several methods to do this. But the best method is through downloading software to your PC. This only takes a short while to download and install. It is low cost, provides access to thousands of channels, is user friendly, and provides excellent picture quality.

The first point to take into consideration before you purchase the software is ‘how fast is your internet connection?’ if you have a good internet speed then downloading software to your PC would be a great option as you are receiving the signals online and there won’t be major disruptions to the signal.

The second point to look at is what method do you want to choose to watch TV on your PC? The easiest option is the software as you only pay a one-off fee, with other options there are other hidden costs involved such as a recurring fee every month plus equipment costs.

The third point to take into account is ‘what are other people saying?’ by looking at what other people think you can get a glimpse into how user friendly it is to watch TV on your computer. But if you choose the software option this shouldn’t be a problem.

Monday, 30. November 2009

You may find yourself asking ‘How can I watch TV on my computer?’ Don’t be put off the process is very simple to get set up and start watching!

I have been watching TV on my computer for what seems like centuries! I absolutely love it, especially during busy times where the TV is occupied and you want to watch a program in peace!

So back to the question ‘Can I watch TV on my computer?’ Yes, you most certainly can. The steps are very easy if you choose to download software. You would download software and install it on your computer; you will be given instructions but may find that you don’t need it!

Once you have downloaded software to your computer you will be able to access thousands of channels online. The download itself shouldn’t take you too long!  It took me a few minutes to install!

It will only cost you once (no recurring fees) the only requirement is a good internet connection.

If you decide not to opt for the software another option for you is to buy a USB device that will install into your USB port, the problem with this is you will have to look around for a good buy (look at what other people are saying) as otherwise you might end up with TV channels that of a poor picture quality.

This is why Satellite software is recommendable as you get great picture quality; you only pay once for a lifetime license to use the software! You get access to thousands of channels; you can watch Cable, Satellite, or local or foreign channels online! This is why I now watch TV on my computer!

Best of all there are no hidden costs as you only need a good internet connection plus the software. You do need any other equipment!
